Yes. Add an Anthropic key, an OpenAI key, or both in Options. Setu never proxies your model traffic — requests go from your browser straight to the provider.
Locally in chrome.storage.local, encrypted with a per-install key. They never leave your machine except as auth headers on the requests you trigger.
Automation mode generates a plan and stops between steps for your review. Autopilot plans → executes → observes the result → re-plans, looping until the task is done or the safety cap (default 100 iterations) is hit.
Yes. Open Advanced, enable "Edit plan before run", and Setu shows the JSON plan plus a row-by-row table editor. You can tweak selectors, URLs, wait times, then run.
A saved automation plan. After a run, name it in Advanced and click "Save Playbook". Re-run any time from the dropdown — useful for repeated flows like daily report exports or login sequences.

Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets you plug external tool servers into your AI. Add an MCP server to Setu and the model can call its tools mid-conversation — read your filesystem, query a database, hit an internal API — without you writing any glue code.
You can save the configuration today, but stdio servers must be launched by the Setu desktop runner (Chrome extensions cannot spawn local processes). HTTP/SSE servers run end-to-end inside the extension right now.

Whatever you choose in the side-panel topbar dropdown wins — it sets both the provider and the model, and persists across sessions. Chat and Autopilot read the same setting.
When checked, Setu pauses before executing every individual step and waits for your click. Useful when running on production systems or unfamiliar pages.
Autopilot takes a screenshot after most steps and feeds it back to the model so it can verify the page state and adapt. They are also attached to share targets that support images (Trello, Asana, Jira, Discord).
Yes. The Safety cap in Advanced is a hard maximum on iterations (1–500). Autopilot normally stops earlier when the model declares the task done.
storage, sidePanel, activeTab, scripting, tabs, cookies, identity, plus host_permissions for the AI providers, SetuCare auth, and each integration host. <all_urls> is requested so automation can run on any page you visit.
